Re; The ‘gender pay gap’.
Such a lot of nonsense is talked about this. It has almost nothing to do with ‘discrimination’ – which is openly and explicitly positive in favour of women in most workplaces nowadays and for a couple of decades.
Most of the ‘gap’ is merely a product of poor analysis, lacking proper control for confounding factors (especillay hours worked, years of service, amount of work-related travel and other measures of single-minded committment).
What gap remains is due to the fact that men and women have different psychologies (sex – like age – is a biological reality), and so will never perform identically unless temperament is also controlled-for.
But his whole debate is fuelled by a rather nasty desire to provoke womens’ resentment and suspicions, and promote a regulatory and bureaucratic agenda. Science has very little to do with it.
