Acoustic guitar bleg

I’ve been trawling YouTube for amazing guitar clips – Reverend Gary Davis, John McLaughlin, Julian Bream, that sort of thing.  I’ll nominate this Bola Sete clip as my pick, what is yours?  You get one nomination, amplified guitar is fine but electric rock guitar is out.  Hollow body jazz guitar, maybe.  Go ahead, make my day.

Do not knock electric guitar until you’ve seen stanley jordan play. Dont know if theres any youtube but i saw him play live and it was incredible. He can play two melodies simultaneously.

You should definitely give Bireli Lagrene a try. Gypsy jazz at its finest. Otherwise, Tommy Emmanuel is just an all-around awesome acoustic guitarist who plays mostly instrumental music.

Paco Peña is always fun.

You can do pretty well with Andy Mckee. There are several videos on Youtube, I just picked a random one.

Lagrene seconded

And, of course, the late Joe Pass (with the Great Dane, Niels Pedersen, on bass)

I found this guy when I was looking for mozart arias. Though his music does have a goof factor to it, he is quite talented.

I -love- Gypsy Jazz. Dorado Schmitt, Jimmy Rosenberg…beautiful. With that said, I think its hard to beat Mr. Bireli Lagrene as well.

Will I get made fun of for suggesting Michael Hedges?

You’ll get a bunch of hits by typing Howard Alden into youtubes’s search box. Unfortunately, none teaming him with his collaborator George Van Eps–they did the guitar work for Sean Penn in ‘Sweet and Lowdown’.

Definitely check out Kaki King. She has a very unique style and sounds fantastic:

Well normally, I’d just say “Paul Gilbert” and that would be the end of the conversation, but you did specify *acoustic* guitar, and the only acoustic Gilbert video I could find was a so-so flamenco:

So, instead, I nominate Justin King:

Try the 12-string portuguese guitar!

Video on YouTube.

Or listen to one of the best guitarists, Carlos Paredes.

I think Clapton deserves an exception to the electric guitar ban.

Nothing to add, I just wanted to second CS’s pick:

I was so blown away by this kid’s technique that I Googled him. I learned that he revealed himself in a New York Times article. He is Jeong-Hyun Lim (aka Funtwo) from South Korea.

資金を増やそうとするのに不動産投資をするのが手っ取り早い。日本で不動産で東京 賃貸をさがすのはきわめて難しくシステム開発は日本の会社が良い。
