Talk about correlation v causation!
There is an obvious candidate in the blog post for a common cause: “being externally focused.”
I don’t believe this. I am far less bored now than when I was at school. And I place that entirely due to my getting a lot more outside stimulation and distraction.
From this summary, the researchers don’t investigate the possiblity that boredom may cause being out of touch with ones’ emotions.
