I love my Nintendo Wii… And while I already look like a dork swinging imaginary tennis rackets you can be assured of a whole new level of dorkiness now that Dance Dance Revolution is available for the Wii.
But I won’t be alone. I was visiting the San Francisco Fed two weeks ago, and a Wii was hooked up to a movie screen in the cafeteria. This time it was Wii tennis, but think about the possibilities: next time dancing economists?
Two remaining questions:

unbewiivable!
I’m a somewhat avid DDR player as well, though I’m pretty bad at it.
I wonder how many other economists will admit to liking the game?
Not as embarrassing as misspelling both “embarrassing” and “it’s” in the title!
Economists follow arrows to indicate the direction that the economy will take. DDR players follow arrows to indicate the direction that their feet will take. DDR is thus a natural fit for economists.
It’s all about ExciteTruck, I’m afraid.
At least until the Mario Golf game comes out. Wii Sports’ only flaw is there are only the nine holes of golf.
I bought DDR a few years ago as a gift to my wife (and for the family) at Christmas. My wife hated it.
About 3 months ago, I hooked up the game and used it to lose weight. I can work off about 400 calories in a half hour.
That said, my family bought a Wii in February. I play golf and tennis with my 5 year old daughter and bought (YES I DID) DDR the day it came out for the Wii.
…One of the all time greatest games. Here’s to bald pear shaped men who look like dorks! Here’s got some fun exercise!
