Here is one story, here are others. My favorite Fischer game is #3 against Spassky in Iceland, and that he had the nerve to play Nh5 as Black when down 2-0 in the match. Here are Bobby’s top achievements. Of course we have had other memories of Fischer in the meantime.
A sad day. Nh5 was impressive, although even for that time perhaps not an entirely new idea. My favourite game of THE MATCH was the tenth.
