Every blog should have a feature that automatically removes any comment that exactly repeats the contents of a previous comment. It ain’t rocket science.

How would you do that, if the feature deleted only the SECOND comment (the one you did, not the original mk did)? All you’d be able to do is submit comments that themselves get deleted before they’re posted- hardly particularly dangerous.
That’s seems what mk meant, since you wouldn’t want to delete BOTH of an accidentally double-posted comment, just the second occurence.
