Why the Flu is sooo much more common in the winter has made me wonder for a long time. I thought it was just children in school spreading it around but that seemed too weak for the magnatude of the difference.

I hope that this hypothesys bears out. Thanks for the link.

I expect it wouldn’t be too hard to test survival of flu viruses at different levels of humidity. I’d be surprised if it hasn’t been done already.

My bet would be that the dominant factor is lower levels of vitamin D in the winter.
