Power generation in China dropped again in April, indicating that the
macroeconomic rebound the market has expected is yet to appear.
According
to the State Grid’s latest statistics, April’s national power
generation totaled 274.763 billion kwh, a fall of 3.55%, year on year,
and a decline of over 3% from the previous month.
Without a healthy Chinese economy I for one do not see the "green shoots" but of course time will tell.

Makes you wonder about that government’s monetary declarations regarding the Chinese economy.
What does this do to the AGW doomsayers who forecast a 30% increase in ad finitum of Chinese emissions. What could possibly go wrong with assuming something will go up by 30% forever?
Perhaps with the cost of gasoline 1/2 what it was last year, a lot of households and business are consuming off the grid through private power generators. I’m sure last April there were significantly more not generating and moving ON the grid.
Yes, we need far more evidence to demonstrate that China is not the omniscient and unstoppable juggernaut for which there is no possible bad economic news, ever.

Huh? We are net importers from China, not exporters.

Look like the economy is really going down. Hope it’ll recover soon.
