Library
It is supposed to be the world's third largest.  Here is the outside view.  Here is one good article (with another photo).

As large as it is, that giant empty space is the center means that much of the area of devoid of books.

My home library is Robarts, here in Toronto. I can’t find a wiki on this library listed above, but 3rd biggest by what? Volumes? Size? Robarts is the 4th largest academic library with 10 million volumes, 5 million microfilms. It is also 14 stories tall. As big as this one in China is, I don’t think it is even close to that.

The building on the picture is just part of the National Library of China, which is a big compound consisting of several large buildings. The wiki (Chinese) says the library is the largest in Asia, the fifth largest in the world, and currently has 25 million volumns, and the figure is increasing by 0.6-0.7 million a year.

Well, having 15 million copies of the little red book just doesn’t seem right.
