After Hurricane Ivan, the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) paid for the new $40 million national stadium, and provided the aid of over 300 labourers to build and repair it. During the opening ceremony, the anthem of the Republic of China (ROC, Taiwan) was accidentally played instead of the PRC's anthem, leading to the firing of top officials.
That's from Wikipedia.

Top Chinese officials appointed to oversee the project, or top Grenadan officials? Enquiring minds want to know…
I guess everyone makes mistakes… similar to you starting a whole series of posts about Grenada, but confusing the country’s spelling in one of the post titles with the spelling of a Spanish city.
With something this minor we could perhaps play conspiracy theorist, and speculate as to whether or not the “top officials” were overly fond of the People’s Republic, and if so they demonstrated it by neglecting to change the anthem.
I don’t think it was aan honest error, I think it looks more like a political prank, kind of like a German plane landing in Russia’s capital central square instead of a legit airport.
Newt, I hope you are not being serious abut the weapons. That’s a terrible idea.
