Lincoln is one, and Life of Pi is the other. I didn’t think I would like either one, but both were excellent and in unexpected ways. The original list of 2012 favorites is here.
My whole family (10 year old daughter, 15 year old son, wife & myself) was awestruck by Life of Pi. An outstanding tale, and the best CGI ever to appear on screen. Almost never do you get both attributes in one film.
Lincoln? Why would you want propaganda that makes movies by the USSR look mild in comparison?
@Vangel ?What planet is your critique coming from?
What on earth do you expect from an American film on American history?
It’s shocking how much better Lincoln is than its trailer.
Why would you want propaganda that makes movies by the USSR look mild in comparison
Haven’t seen it, but I speculate that DD Lewis makes prediction easy. Just hate that it is likely fallacious.
I didn’t expect to like Life of Pi (I avoided the book) and had same reaction. You must, absolutely must, see it in 3D.
