Musical profiling

I am in trouble:

Security staff at a British airport stopped a businessman from catching a flight because the songs he had asked a taxi driver to play on the car stereo made the driver suspicious, police said.

The songs: "London Calling" by The Clash, and "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin, here are the offending lyrics and the story.

Addendum: Daniel Strauss Vasques points my attention to a slightly different version of the story, where the guy was just singing along.

Another unsettling or amusing story, depending on your perspective, was that of a sticker on a bike that said "This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb." Authorities had a bomb squad destroy the bike, despite the owner's protest.

This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb is, of course, a folk-punk band from Florida on Plan-it-X records. They're quite good.

Music isn't the only victim these days. Some girls, immitating a Canadian artist's project of creating plastic Mario Blocks and hanging them around town, were arrested and faced charges (that were eventually dropped).

To quote a friend, "The only people who would ever, ever, ever bother to construct a bomb or chemical weapon and then decorate it like that are BATMAN VILLAINS."

All the more ironic due to the garbled, unintelligible lyrics of "London Calling"

Thomas,

We'll drive our ships to new lands,
fight the horde,
sing and cry,
Valhalla... I am coming!

It is clearly a reference to suicide bombers on a mission to free Israel (new lands) from the infidels (the horde), who will then be rewarded with 72 virgins in heaven (Valhalla). Allah Akbar, a term meaning 'Allah is greatest' (I am coming! in this case) is usually cried out just before detonation.

Ok I made all of that up, and perhaps this taxis driver is just nuts...

Hmmm -- and I thought it was about terrorist kittens:
