Favorite fiction of 2022

With translations from foreign fiction and also differing publication dates in the UK, it is hard to classify some of these.  But they are of recent vintage, I did read them in 2022, and I found them rewarding:

Olga Tokarczuk, The Books of Jacob.

Claire Keegan, Small Things Like These.

Hervé LeTellier, The Anomaly: A Novel.

Paradais, by Fernanda Melchor, Spanish only.

Paulo Scott, Phenotypes.

Helen DeWitt, The English Understand Wool.
