Random idea: It would be pretty neat if one also created some map animations. For example, one could have an animation showing a sequence of maps portraying population/income/disease over a number of years. It would also be neat to see things like how internet traffic over the period of a day.

It’s odd that the immigration map shows a significant flow into the Middle East. All I can think of is that the contract workers from South and East Asia in the Gulf countries are being counted as immigrants.
