The one that interests me the most is “A Confederacy of Dunces”. I agree that it’s the funniest book ever written (a close second is Mario Vargas Llosa’s “Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter”, which unfortunately did not translate well to the screen). Most of the actors I imagine playing the characters in Confederacy of Dunces are dead. John Candy would have been perfect as Ignatius Reilly. Ruth Gordon as his mother. Chris Rock might work as Burma Jones, but who could you get to play the all important Miss Trixie?
