Greg Clark, part III

It will come next Tuesday, and cover pp.193-272.  In the meantime, here is an interesting interview with Greg over at Gene Expression.

Addendum: And here is Arnold Kling on Clark.

I have not read the book but have one question.

He says downward economic mobility played a significant role in
English economic development.

Did he look for this downward mobility in other countries and find it did not exist elsewhere? Or did he just not look at that aspect of the question?

So isn't all he is doing is finding the impact of the institution of primogeniture?
