Thomas McCraw passes away at 72

I loved his Schumpeter biography, and he had a long and distinguished career as an economic and business historian at Harvard.  Here are previous MR posts on McCraw.  Here is an obituary.

any other of his books of his that you'd recommend? have you read 'the founders and finance'?

He taught me during my Ph.D. Great scholar, incredibly knowledgeable, and kind to students.

I enjoyed reading "Creating Modern Capitalism: How Entrepreneurs, Companies, and Countries Triumphed in Three Industrial Revolutions". It lacked a real framework to tie things together but was an entertaining and interesting read anyway.
